On the Road Manuscript, #3
The Kerouac Scroll is going to be at the Boott Cotton Museum in Lowell beginning June 15th and I can't wait. No...I'm not a beat and he's not my generation and not even my favorite writer but if you have ever read any of his books....you feel a connection. You feel like here's someone who gets it! I've been screaming in my mind all my life what Jack had already written. It's the Idea. There's a quote I like to misquote..... "When they got there, there was no there, there!! but getting there............THAT's the THERE! and when you get that? You GET IT!

I love your 'misquote'. Life is about the journey and not the destination... if indeed their is a destination.
I like the quote and I like this photograph so much. I read 'On the Road' in high school. My best friend and I pretend to be like the beat guys and go Zen driving. We usually end up at a pizza joint. hehe...So much for self discovery.
